Born on June 5, 1964 in Nîmes, he turned pro in 1987 and waited until 1999 to win his first European Tour event at the Estoril Open (Portugal). In 2004, he won the French Open, 35 years after the last French victory of Jean Garaialde. He did it again in 2005, achieving a sensational double. He left the main European Tour in 2008, and returned to competition six years later as a member of the European Senior Tour. In 2016, he entered the very closed PGA Champions Tour where he nearly made his 4th appearance and finished on the podium. In 2017 he was injured and returned in 2018 on the Staysure Tour.
